Africa Forum: Opportunities in Africa
On February 6th, 2014, the Office of International Programs hosted the Africa Forum: Opportunities in Africa program. Dr. Julie Mostov, Vice Provost for Global Initiatives and Dr. Shannon Marquez, Associate Academic Dean and Director of Global Public Health Initiatives presented a wide range of opportunities, experiences and collaborations in various countries throughout Sub Saharan Africa. The Office of International Programs can assist faculty, staff and students from all disciplines interested in doing research, service, study, and/or co-op connect to partners in the region. Girl Rising - Film Screening
Over 60 students, staff, and community members enjoyed a film screening in the Drexel Marks Intercultural Center on Thursday, October 10th. Girl Rising, facilitated and co-sponsored by the Office of International Programs, Center for Interdisciplinary Programs, Office of Equality and Diversity, and School of Education, tells the triumphant stories of nine girls from a variety of cultures around the world that reflects their struggles and triumphs to overcome societal or cultural barriers to go to education...Read More.
International Opportunities Fair 2013
The Office of International Programs was pleased to sponsor Drexel’s 2nd Annual International Opportunities Fair with Study Abroad, Steinbright Career Development Center, Fellowships Office, and Center for Interdisciplinary Programs on October 22, 2013. This event introduced students to a variety of study, co-op, and research abroad opportunities, as well as Drexel academic programs and student organizations. Read More.
Drexel Teach-in for Peacebuilding
The Drexel Teach-in for Peacebuilding was a half-day of hands-on workshops on diverse building blocks of peace. The teach-in was put on by a collaborative team of Drexel University units and partners including the Office of International Programs (Drexel), College of Arts and Sciences Center for Interdisciplinary Programs (Drexel), School of Education (Drexel), Office of Equality and Diversity (Drexel), Peace Day Philly, The Peace Center, and the Global Philadelphia Association.
