Technology Specialist Curtis Bonk Speaks at Drexel

The Online Learning Council rang in 2017 with a presentation series and book signing by online learning and technology expert Dr. Curtis Bonk. The series consisted of two presentations on January 25, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Sky View Room and Lounge on the sixth floor of MacAlister Hall.
Currently a professor at Indiana University Bloomington, Dr. Bonk specializes in psychology and technology. A former accountant and corporate controller, Bonk’s innovative approach to technology-enhanced education is informed by his diverse background. During his presentations, Bonk discussed his new instructional design model for online learning, known by the acronym TEC-VARIETY. He’ll also offered his vision of new-age education—Education 3.0—where learning is more informal, resource rich and self-directed, and where learner creation of products is the new norm.
