Dr. Burchette has over fifteen years of higher education experience as a faculty member, athletic administrator, and athletic development professional. Dr. Burchette most recently served as the Associate Athletics Director for External Operations at Indiana State University (2006-08) and Assistant Director of Athletics for External Affairs / Director of Athletic Development at Northeastern University (2003-2006). He has also been employed with Nelligan Sports Marketing, Temple University, and Eastern College.

Burchette has an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Drexel University. His dissertation study was titled: Examining Factors that Influence Donor Motivation Among Former Student-Athletes and NCAA DI Classification. Burchette holds a M.Ed. from Temple University in Sport & Recreation Administration and a B.S. in Kinesiology from Indiana University, Bloomington. He is a member of NAADD, Sport Marketing Association, and the College Sport Research Institute.
