PURPOSE

The purpose is to ensure continued operation of the University in the event of an aircraft disaster.

APPLICABILITY

This policy applies to Senior managers which includes: President, Provost and Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President for Finance, Treasurer and COO, Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Senior Vice President for University Communications, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Senior Vice President and Executive Director, Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management, Senior Vice President for Corporate Relations and Economic Development, Senior Vice President for Student Life and Administration, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Information Resources and Technology, Vice President for Financial Planning and Student Financial Services, Vice President for Public Safety, Vice President for Human Resources, Vice President for Finance and Associate Treasurer, Vice President for Internal Audit, Vice President for Government and Community Relations, Vice Provost for Strategic Development and Initiatives,  Vice President for University and Community Partnerships, President for the Academy of Natural Sciences and Interim President and Deputy CEO for Drexel e-Learning.

IMPLEMENTATION

Implementation of this policy is the responsibility of the Department of Human Resources.

ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT

The Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Operating Officer is the Drexel University official responsible for the administration of this policy.

POLICY

The University limits the number of senior managers traveling (as defined below) together on University business on the same aircraft.

PROCEDURES

1. No more than three (3) senior managers may travel together in the same aircraft at one time.
2. The President, and either the Provost and Senior Vice President, or Executive Vice President for Finance and Treasurer plus one (1) other senior manager may travel together in the same aircraft at one time.
3. Of the Provost and Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President for Finance, Treasurer and COO only two may travel together plus one (1) other senior manager in the same aircraft at one time.

AT-WILL EMPLOYMENT NOT AFFECTED

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary stated in this policy, nothing herein is intended to alter the at-will status of any Professional Staff Member.  Drexel University at all times retains the right to terminate any Professional Staff Member at any time for any lawful reason, or for no reason at all.
