Tension and stress have a sneaky tendency to build without us even knowing. Most often we don't realize their effects until we give ourselves a minute to relax. In this practice, you'll be guided through self-massage techniques to alleviate knots and tightness to create more space. A great way to unwind and give yourself much needed time to reset and restoration.

You will need one or two tennis balls to complete this practice. And you will also need loose comfortable clothing and space to lie on the floor.

Our instructor, Anisha Chirmule, is an experienced teacher and practitioner of yoga in the Philadelphia area. She has been involved in forms of movement throughout the entirety of her life as a form of physical and mental therapy, and found yoga in 2010. Since 2014, she has completed training in Ashtanga yoga, alignment based yoga, myofascial release therapy and a 500 hour advanced training under the guidance of several prominent Philadelphia based teachers. Throughout different points of her life, the practice of yoga on and off the mat has been a common denominator for Anisha. The line between teacher and student blends in each class she offers, as she loves the shared experience of discovering new potential and deeper understandings of shared universal values. In class, Anisha hopes to leave students with a new expansion of their capacities and maybe a laugh through the process.

After creating a visual depiction of their flame, participants will write down the things in their life that fuel and sustain this fire and keep them fulfilled and content in life. Once finished, group members will have the opportunity to share about their art pieces and get feedback from others. No previous art making experience is necessary.

This 1-hour interactive webinar will provide a review of “Uncertainty”, when and why it might be threatening to us, when we might seek it out, and how we can deal with it better.

The topic was initially inspired by the threat and uncertainty created for many of us by COVID. However, it is applicable to other areas in our lives such as different illnesses, having children, the economy, relationships, job security, never mind basic needs such as food security and housing.

Many of us generally like to have a certain amount of control over our lives. Unexpected events, or events without a clear trajectory may leave us stressed and/or anxious. Responding with stress and anxiety to uncertainty depends on many variables, including some of our temperamental dispositions.

Whatever the exact causes for our reactions to uncertainty, we can all learn to accept and manage it better. This workshop will also address some of the ways that you can do this in your life.

    This webinar is intended for:
-For anyone who is interested to learn more about uncertainty and why it can often be threatening, and at other times, appealing to us
-For anyone who has experiences stress, and/or anxiety due to uncertainty in their lives
