Tai Chi has been found to improve balance, increase bone density,
benefit heart health and enhance quality of life. Who doesn’t want some of
that?? This slow, gentle, flowing exercise leads to some wonderful benefits for
body and mind. An NIH comprehensive review of studies suggests it might as well
be called “medication in motion.”
The current popularity of mindfulness and the new understanding of
the “gut brain” are just a few of the aspects of well-being built into this
ancient health exercise. We will talk about and experience these concepts and
learn how to get the most benefit from practicing Tai Chi.
Attend
this workshop to:
Learn some easy Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises.
Understand why this ancient system works - in modern terms.
Come away relaxed and energized.
Instructor Doren Day, is a certified T’ai Chi teacher and Licensed
Acupuncturist. She has practiced Tai Chi for over 30 years and enjoys helping
people reduce stress and improve their health.
These workshops are open to all Drexel University faculty and
professional staff. Registration is required. Please wear loose, comfortable
clothing.
