Accelerated Programs (BS/BA + MS)
Drexel University permits students to complete both a BS or BA and an MS in five years by "accelerating" the completion of undergraduate courses, allowing students to take graduate courses in their fourth and fifth years. Eligible students who want to obtain both degrees can typically save a year of time through an accelerated program.
The Department of History & Politics offers two different accelerated programs, one centered on our undergraduate history BA & BS degrees and the second centered on our graduate MS in Science, Technology, and Society (STS).
A student may formally apply to an accelerated program after completing at least 90 but fewer than 120 credits toward undergraduate degree requirements. Incoming freshmen can be provisionally admitted to certain accelerated programs.
