A recent article from the American College of Sports Medicine reports:
"Regular physical activity is good therapy for both depression and anxiety, and it will also help improve your mood and self-esteem. Exercise will also help you reduce your stress, sleep better, and feel more energized."

The impact of exercise on positive mental health is well established. Over 1,000 articles in medical literature show a relationship between exercise and not being depressed. Exercise can not only improve depressive symptoms, but also increase circulation to the brain, enhance endorphin production and normalize sleep patterns. An inability to get a good, full night’s sleep can impact daytime efficiency, consolidation of memory, fine motor skills and creativity.
