Physical Well-being

Physical wellness is an important part of a healthy, active lifestyle and a positive work/life balance. A Healthier U encourages Drexel students, faculty and professional staff to take advantage of our comprehensive medical, educational and recreational services and resources designed to improve overall health. These offerings combine several key strategies for healthy living, including exercise, nutrition and tobacco cessation, for a well-balanced approach to physical wellness.

The following opportunities are available to support members of the Drexel community who would like to incorporate more movement into their self-care routine.

Walking Club

The Walking Club is open to all University faculty and professional staff. You can participate virtually or in-person.

Earn 5 wellness points for taking a thirty-minute walk (with or without the group) on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Email Monica Fauble to record your wellness points. Or email Monica Fauble at mef55@drexel.edu to join our weekly walking club email list.

The in-person Walking Club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. in the Recreation Center lobby. In the event of rain, these 30-minute walks will be held inside. Tuesday walks are held with the group. Thursday walks are self-guided. A half-hour of walking can yield immense benefits for your physical and emotional health.

If you would like to walk on the indoor track at the Drexel Recreation Center on a Tuesday or Thursday at 12:30 p.m., please tell the Welcome Center desk that you are there for Walking Club.

For more information, please Monica Fauble at mef55@drexel.edu.

Map Walk is useful to plan a walk from any starting point. Walking routes are provided below:
