Civic x EarthFest
Drexel University celebrates Earth Day and the University's commitment to environmental sustainability with its annual Civic x EarthFest. This year's block party-style celebration will be held along Lancaster Walk, west of 33rd Street, and has the theme of circularity (practices that optimize resource use and minimize waste across the entire production and consumption cycle, emphasizing sustainability and economic efficiency). This annual event showcases University stakeholders, local businesses and organizations with "green" initiatives. Civic x EarthFest is free and open to the University community.
This event includes:
- Games, prizes and giveaways;
- Free food;
- Music from Project EarthTone, a group of Drexel student musicians
- Sustainable banking options;
- Sustainability-oriented student organizations;
- Representatives from local businesses and restaurants;
- Research, information and demonstrations from organizations and institutions focusing on sustainability; and
- So much more!
