Post-Masters Certificate in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
The pediatric primary care nurse practitioner certificate is designed to prepare practitioners who will take advanced nursing roles as clinicians, educators, researchers, and leaders in the rapidly changing, evidence-driven healthcare environment. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and critical use of evolving technology.
The pediatric primary care nurse practitioner provides advanced nursing care across the continuum of healthcare services to meet the specialized physiological needs of patients from infancy through adolescence. Pediatric nurse practitioners competently manage well-child care as well as complex, acute, and chronic healthcare conditions.
On completion of the nurse practitioner program, students are eligible for certification through ANCC or PNCB.
