  • Graduate Admission Application

    Applicants should apply using the Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS). Applicants will designate a choice of major, but will have the opportunity to change prior to entering the major during the spring term of the first year.

    For more information and to apply online, visit www.sophas.org. No supplemental application is required (SOPHAS GRE school code 7890).

  • Transcripts

    Provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. Official transcripts can be sent to:

    International students: If you have already graduated from your previous institution at the time of your application, please email your graduation certificate(s) attached as PDF or Microsoft Word documents to enroll@drexel.edu.

  • International Transcript Evaluation (international applicants only)

    World Education Service evaluation of all foreign transcripts (international applications only).

  • Standardized Test Scores

    Official results from the GRE* taken within the last five years (code to submit to SOPHAS is 7890)

    IELTS or TOEFL results for non-native English speakers (taken within the last 2 years)

    *Drexel University will also consider any one of the following exams taken within the last five years in lieu of the GRE:
    • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
    • Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
    • Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)
    • Dental Admissions Test (DAT)

  • Essay

    A written statement of career and educational goals, professional experience, and area of interest for the dissertation.

  • Résumé

    A résumé or CV is required, and should be uploaded as part of your admission application through the SOPHAS website.

  • Letters of Recommendation

    Three letters of recommendation are required, one must be from a public health practitioner.

  • Interview

    In-person or telephone interview required for qualified applicants.

  • Research Experience

    Provide documented evidence of applied research. Skills (master's thesis, masters research paper, or publication).
