Drexel University prides itself on practical application of knowledge,
thus it is no surprise that research is an integral part of the Drexel education.
As a Drexel graduate student, you are expected to contribute to your field,
and we have the tools and resources to help you do it.
Our Faculty
Learn from a community of active research professionals whose findings are featured in internationally recognized publications and at top conferences.
Our Facilities
In 2005 we opened the 155,000-square-foot Bossone Research Enterprise Center.
The building, designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and named in honor
of Drexel alumnus Edmund Bossone, serves as the cutting-edge research center
for the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems. The
Bossone Research Enterprise Center houses 48 teaching laboratories, 37 lab
support spaces, 8 conference rooms, 77 offices, and a 300-seat auditorium.
The building is also home to the Centralized Research Facility, which houses
two Raman spectroscopes, a high-resolution transmission electron microscope,
three scanning electron microscopes, an X-ray diffractometer, and other state-of-the-art
equipment.
Our Funding
Research contract and grant awards and expenditures for the University exceed
$100 million.
Your program may offer research assistantships or fellowships. Be sure to
review your college's financing options and
contact your department for application requirements.
