This is the FAQ title

Should I always use the FAQ component to add frequently asked questions to my website?

No. If you have only a few FAQs, you will find it more efficient to create and maintain them through the WYSWYG editor.

When should I use the FAQ component?

The FAQ component is useful in managing long FAQ lists. Also, because the FAQ is in a component, you can easily use it on more than one web page, or even more than one website.

What kinds of questions should I have in my FAQ?

Questions you site users are likely to ask. Avoid using FAQs to promote your own agenda.

How can I find out what questions our users are asking?

Talk to folks within your organization who deal directly with the people you serve. They will know.

I have a lot of FAQs. Any suggestions on how to manage them?

Yes. Break them up into smaller groups and mark them with intuitive headings so that users can quickly find what they need.

Any recommendation on the lengths of questions and answers in my FAQ?

Yes. As with most web content, keep them short and direct. Users want the answers they need, not huge blocks of explanation copy.

Where can I go to learn more about FAQ best practices?

An excellent article on the subject, Infrequently Asked Questions of FAQs, can be found at A List Apart.

Should I include anything else on my FAQ page?

Yes. Since your users are in question asking mode, ask them via a form or email link if they have questions you haven’t answered in the FAQ list. What a great opportunity to get direct feedback!
