A key figure in the 1950's and 1960's youth revolution of England, Mary Quant was an all-star of British design and played an important role in putting London on the fashion map. Her unconventional and energetic designs were a hit with a young audience. She is credited with establishing the Mod Look of the mid-1950's. as well as being the originator of the mini skirt.
