Gilman International Scholarship to Equatorial Guinea, 2015
Geological Society of America/ExxonMobil Field Camps Scholars Award, 2017

BS Geoscience '16, Honors

Chris majored in Geoscience with a concentration in Paleontology and a minor in Ecology. He is interested in environmental science and natural history. He studied at the Universidad Nacional de Guinea Ecuatorial (National University of Equatorial Guinea) on Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea with the help of the Gilman Scholarship. Because his academic interests are broad, he's done very different research projects, both under Dr. Lacovara and Dr. Cronin. While in Equatorial Guinea, he conducted research on frog community diversity across an elevation gradient. In the Lacovara lab, he conducted ongoing research on extinct ratfish specimens from our dig site in Mantua Township, NJ, at which he is an active volunteer. He was also the president of the Drexel Geology and Paleontology Club and involved in the Drexel Jazz Orchestra.
