Congratulations To Truman Finalist Phillip Tomezsko
Phillip Tomezsko, a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate, is a finalist for the prestigious Truman Scholarship. The Truman Scholarship is a $30,000 merit-based grant awarded to undergraduate students with extensive records of public and community service. Phillip has been active in community service since his first year at Drexel.
In addition to his involvement with the Phillip B. Lindy Inner-City Public School Program, he has been serving as President of Circle K International, and as a Drexel Community Scholar at the Center for Civic Engagement has been the liaison to Trevor’s Place, a non-profit homeless services organization in Philadelphia. This past year, he developed a new initiative regarding public health service opportunities. Phillip’s conviction for public service is paired with exceptional academic achievements. We are truly delighted and proud that he was named a Truman finalist.
The Truman Scholarship provides financial support for graduate study and leadership training, and is awarded to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in public service.
