2014 Lindau Award Recipient
Thomas Zylkin (Economics, PhD '15) has received the Lindau Graduate Student Award to attend this year's annual meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany. Congratulations, Tom!
Tom is a doctoral student in Economics studying international trade, armed conflict, and the relationships between the two. This past year, his joint work with Dr. Constantinos Syropoulos on the causes of civil conflict was awarded the LeBow College of Business’s Outstanding Economics Stream Research Award. He has presented his research at the University of Michigan, Yale University, and The University of Exeter (UK) among others. Faculty mentors: Drs. Constantinos Syropoulos and Yoto V. Yotov.
The Lindau Award supports exceptional doctoral student researchers to attend the annual Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates in scenic Lindau, Germany. The meeting for economists takes place in August.
