Moving and Relocation
The University Facilities Moving Crew can move office furnishings and laboratory equipment such as desks, filing cabinets, tables, chairs, and boxed items to certain buildings on campus as requested. Union restrictions prohibit moves to and from non-academic buildings such as One Drexel Plaza, all residence halls, MacAlister Hall, Mandell Theater, Creese Student Center, and Daskalakis Athletic Center —delivery and pick up must be made at the dock area of these buildings in coordination with operations at the General Services Building.
Move requests can be submitted online or by contacting your department’s WebTMA representative and require a notice of two business days and are scheduled based on staffing availability. Any moves that cannot be completed during normal work hours (6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday) will incur overtime charges: weekdays after 2:30 PM and Saturdays will be charged time and a half, and Sundays and holidays will be charged double time. Billing is done in 30-minute increments.
