Non-Hazardous Waste Removal
Non-hazardous solid waste and trash is removed from University offices, classrooms, common areas and housing facilities via self-contained trash compactors that enable the safe and easy disposal of waste.
Facilities Management collects solid waste in the following forms: municipal waste/general trash, wet waste (food waste from dining services) and in-house construction project debris.
A work request must be requested to dispose of any bulk trash, which consists of large items such as furniture, machinery, wood or metal. Such requests can be submitted through the work request page. Billing for such requests are completed in 30-minute minimum increments at specified hourly rates. Bulk waste removal charges may incur in some instances. Large bulk trash removal pertaining to renovations or space clean outs may require overtime coverage to be charged at a specified hourly rate.
