Maintenance and Housekeeping Services
Health Sciences Campus Operations manages the contractors that provide the services for University heating and air conditioning, building automation controls, elevators, fire protection, emergency power, pest control, cleaning, and waste removal. Housekeeping staff is responsible for all public space, classrooms, laboratories, offices, restrooms, elevators, stairwells and clinical facilities. General cleaning and trash are monitored daily during regular business hours.
These services are overseen by four Building Managers who service seven Health Sciences’ facilities.
Requests for routine service in academic and administrative campus buildings, excluding regularly scheduled services, can be made by submitting a Work Request Form. Please note, some services ($) require a funding source and a signature from the customer’s authorized department head.
Immediate Service Requests
Maintenance and housekeeping issues that require attention within 24 hours, such as pest control, bathroom attention, overflowing trash, elevator maintenance and locksmith, can be addressed by calling the appropriate Building Manager.
Emergency Service Requests
Each University campus has an Emergency Action Plan, for such emergency situations as floods, power outages, and elevator entrapment. Drexel University Public Safety and Hahnemann University Hospital Security can be contacted 24 hours a day to address urgent needs through the dispatch system.
