Amtrak, Drexel and Partners Host Open House on 30th Street Station District Plan

Amtrak, Drexel and their partners in the Philadelphia 30th Street Station District Plan will host an open house next week to provide an update on the project and solicit community input. The event is an opportunity for interested parties to review refined ideas, interact with the project team, ask questions and contribute to the process.

The open house will be held on Dec. 16 in the North Waiting Room at 30th Street Station from 4-7 p.m. Members of the project team will be on hand to answer questions and walk attendees through a draft physical framework for the District that includes a series of potential physical improvements, transportation and infrastructure changes and new development.

The Philadelphia 30th Street Station District Plan is long range joint master planning effort led by Amtrak, Brandywine Realty Trust, Drexel University, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority with support from a host of public and private agencies to develop a comprehensive vision for the year 2040 where 30th Street Station is at the epicenter of dynamic, urban neighborhood full of opportunities for community development, economic growth and improved transportation connections.
