Biannual DEI Climate Survey: We Want to Hear From You!

As part of our ongoing commitment to assess and improve Drexel University's climate of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), the Office for Institutional Equity and Inclusive Culture is launching its biannual survey during the week of Feb. 5 to help University leadership gauge how students, faculty and professional staff perceive the University's climate and level of support for DEI. Eligible survey participants will receive a survey invitation via email. Drexel has again contracted with a reputable organization – the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) – to administer the survey, gather the results and guarantee complete anonymity for all who participate. It should only take you 10-15 minutes to complete the survey, and we sincerely hope you will take the time to answer thoughtfully and honestly.

You will be asked about your perceptions of the University's climate and of how the University supports diversity and equity across different dimensions of identity. The Office for Institutional Equity and Inclusive Culture will use the information from the survey to help inform and improve support, policies and practices related to diversity and equity, including those to prevent or respond to discrimination and harassment. Your voice matters in how we continue to build a culture of equity at Drexel.

To find your survey link, please search your Drexel email for the subject line, "Help make Drexel University more inclusive!" All survey emails are from Kim Gholston via the address DrexelUniversity @ hedsconsortium.org and may be labeled "External."

Please look out for the survey invitation in your Drexel email inbox. You will have one month to complete the survey, and several reminders will be sent before the deadline. Please note that students enrolled after Jan. 16, 2024, and employees hired after Dec. 7, 2023, are not eligible to participate in the survey this year. If you have any questions about this initiative, please email deiclimate@drexel.edu.
