B.S. in Engineering Technology

The Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology (ET) will prepare you for an exciting career in a variety of design, production, automation, quality, and application-related positions in industry.

ABET LogoThe ET program been accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc., the recognized accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology. The program received an outstanding review, demonstrating our strong commitment to quality education, and was granted accreditation for a full six years, the maximum length of time for which ABET awards accreditation.

With four distinct concentrations leading to different career paths (Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, and Biomedical Engineering Technology), the ET program clearly distinguishes itself from traditional engineering programs in the following ways:

  • It forms the bridge between the designer and the technical workforce.
  • It places emphasis on the application of theory for solving real-life problems.
  • Its courses are fully integrated with training and laboratory hands-on experience.
  • Faculty members with extensive industrial experience have strong collaboration with industrial partners.

As a student enrolled in the full-time B.S. program, you will gain professional experience through a four- or five-year program with a cooperative education experience (co-op). Drexel’s well-respected co-op experiences will give you a unique advantage when you enter the workforce. All four concentrations are available as a part time option to complete in the evening.
