Biography
I am currently in my seventh year at Drexel, teaching freshmen writers. I am very interested in what motivates students and am currently conducting research to learn more about that. I am a writer, a blogger, an editor, an amateur photographer, and a mother.
Favorite Authors and/or Books: My favorite genre to read (and write) is memoir, so I don't really have an overall favorite author. My all-time favorite memoirs are All Souls by Michael Patrick MacDonald and After Long Silence by Helen Fremont.
Favorite Musical Artists: Paul Simon, the Indigo Girls, Adele, Patty Griffin, Billy Joel, the Beatles, and Johnny Cash
Personal Interests and Hobbies: Writing, drawing, painting, photography
Favorite TV Show: Friends
One thing that makes me smile is: my son's "say cheese" smile
A Pet Peeve: bad grammar!
One reason I like my job is: Having the opportunity to make learning writing techniques fun and interesting
