Freshman Reading Program
Since the summer of 2004, the First-Year Writing Program has also organized a First-Year Reading Program (FRP). As part of the FRP, all entering first-year students are asked to read a common text, which is then discussed in fall English 101 courses. But that’s not all: students also have the opportunity to meet the author of the text in the fall, during an on-campus lecture and book signing. A small group of students will even have their work critiqued by the author in an intimate Master Class. News about the current book can be found here: http://www.drexel.edu/engphil/news/reading/
