Biography

Walter Sobkiw is one of the founding members of the Drexel Systems Engineering Program and is developer and subject matter expert for SYSE 685 Systems Engineering Management, SYSE 688 Systems Engineering Analysis, SYSE 530 Systems Engineering Design, SYSE 531 Systems Architecture Development and SYSE 532 Software Systems Engineering.

In addition to his faculty role he has over 40 years’ experience working on large complex computer and communications systems for air traffic control, air defense, and communications.

Mr. Sobkiw has various papers published at technical conferences and is author of multiple books on systems engineering including: Sustainable Development Possible with Creative Systems Engineering, Systems Practices as Common Sense, Systems Engineering Design, Privatization a Systems Perspective.
