Construction Management student Isreal Simmons was awarded the AACEI (Advanced Association of Cost Engineering International), Delaware Valley Chapter Scholarship in April 2012.
Construction Management graduate student John Gresh won the Best Paper competition held by the Construction Division of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). IIE is the world’s largest professional society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. The Construction Division Student Paper Competition was sponsored by The ConAm Group, a national builder and developer of residential projects. The competition is intended to promote the use of IE techniques in improving construction performance. John will receive $1500 cash and $1000 for travel to the IIE’s annual conference in Orlando in May 2012 to present the paper. Past winners were from Rochester Institute of Technology (2010) and University of Hong Kong (2009).
