Personal Statement:

Fernando Tovia, PhD is a Section Leader for EGMT’s core quantitative analysis courses, as well as a Section Leader for EGMT 685: Systems Engineering Management. In addition to his role with Drexel, Tovia is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the Industrial and Systems Engineering in the School of Engineering and Textiles at Philadelphia University. 

Prior to his current position, Tovia spent 21 years working in the Textile Industry in Mexico both as a General Manager and a consultant working on strategic planning, supply chain management and manufacturing systems. 

Tovia is a recipient of the Lindback Minority Junior Faculty Award in 2005, and the Best Conference Award Paper from The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation (UK) in 2006.
