Alumus Jeffrey Wilcox Named as 2010 Commencement Speaker for Stevens
May 4, 2010 Drexel Engineering is pleased to announce that alumnus Jeffrey J. Wilcox ’88 (
ECE), Vice President of Corporate Technology & Engineering at Lockheed Martin Corporation, will be the commencement speaker at
Stevens Institute of Technology on May 27, 2010. Jeff will be awarded an honorary doctor of engineering degree. Jeff earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering and worked with Dr. Moshe Kam.
Jeff, who was inducted into the Drexel Engineering Alumni Circle of Distinction in 2009, is responsible for developing and executing strategy for the Lockheed Martin Engineering Enterprise and its 71,000 engineers and scientists. He collaborates with business area leadership to ensure the right people, processes, tools and technology are in place to successfully deliver solutions to customer’s most complex challenges.
Prior to this position, Jeff was the corporation’s vice president for systems and software engineering. He was responsible for directing the development and implementation of enterprise-wide systems and software engineering processes, tools, technology and training with special emphasis complex, software-intensive systems.
