July 1, 2009 Nicholas Kirsch '09 (ECE) has accepted a tenure-track faculty position at the University of New Hampshire beginning in August, 2009. In New Hampshire, Nicholas will create a wireless communication laboratory to research next generation wireless systems.
“I am very excited about starting at the University of New Hampshire with the opportunity to create my own wireless communications research laboratory. The ECE department has been very helpful in providing me with the tools I need to be successful,” says Nicholas.
In 2003, Nicholas received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. While at Drexel, he performed his masters and doctoral research under Dr. Kapil Dandekar (ECE) in the Drexel Wireless Systems Laboratory. His research interests include designing and prototyping next generation wireless communications systems while making use of multiple antennas. Nicholas was supported by the Applied Communications and Information Networking program and was a recipient of the Koerner Family Fellowship.
