PSSFAAQISEP Takes 1st Place in Drexel Engineering’s 2009 Film Festival
June 4, 2009 Out of six selected films, Drexel Engineering was proud to present the 1st place prize of $1,000.00 to Preliminary Screening System for Ambient Air Quality (or PSSFAAQISEP for short) in the 2nd Annual Film Festival. The award-winning comedic film was created by seniors Rob Falcone and Liz Yanak based on a spoof of the ‘Shamwow’ infomercials. Dr. Selçuk Güçeri, Dean of Drexel’s CoE presented the $1,000.00 check to Rob and Liz.
“We’re pleased to host an event that involves creativity and collaboration. The teams did an outstanding job and we’re looking forward to next year’s event. Congratulations to all the teams for their hard work and phenomenal videos,” says Dr. Güçeri.
Awards also went to runners up John Benge and Nick Silva for Drexel Engineering, a comical rapper’s version of experiences at Drexel in addition to third place winners Kresimir Juraga, Vince Petaccio, Joseph Bilikiewicz, and Talia Shumsonk for Drexcel Industries, a comedy of a new employee orientation video. Audience favorite was awarded to Cybourg Poultry II- a comical montage of skits that shows how interesting life can be in Drexel Engineering which was created by Ryan Measel.
