Kathleen Short, PhD, assistant teaching professor of construction management in the Department of Engineering Leadership and Society, has received the Region 1 Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Excellence in Teaching Award at the 58th Annual ASC International Conference held in Atlanta, April 20-23, 2022.
This award honors a faculty member’s contributions to construction education, excellence in teaching, service to the ASC, and dedication to the construction profession. Short was recognized for the work that she has done to improve the rigor and content of courses in Drexel’s Construction Management Program that has led to improved student satisfaction, as well as her efforts to support student organizations and engagement with the construction industry.
“It really is an honor to receive this award from my peers,” shares Short. “I am grateful to have a job that I love and am privileged to have been nominated by Dr. Christine Fiori, a role model and mentor.”
