Electrical and Computer Engineering students Yiran Yu and Vishak "Jared" Balakrishnan have been honored with financial awards.
Yu was awarded the Nihat Bilgutay ECE Fellowship, which is intended to support graduate students in the ECE department. An awardee's selection is based on academic merit. Balakrishnan was awarded the Basavaiah Family Scholarship, which supports qualifying undergraduate and graduate ECE students.
Yiran Yu is pursuing her master's in Electrical Engineering and is anticipated to graduate in Spring 2020. She is currently on a graduate co-op with Schweitzer Engineering Labs, Inc.
Jared Balakrishnan is an undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Computer Engineering, also expected to graduating in Spring 2020. Balakrishnan just completed his last co-op experience with Susquehanna Group, LLP.
