Dr. Anup Das, Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, was invited to speak on neuromorphic computing at the Accelerating AI for Embedded Autonomy (AAIEA) Workshop in New York City, held on October 17, 2019. The title of his talk is "Neuromorphic Computing: A Step Toward Energy-Efficient Machine Learning."
Dr. Das also presented a regular paper on phase-change memories at the Embedded Systems Week (ESWeek), also in New York City.
Dr. Das's two PhD students Adarsha Balaji and Shihao Song also presented a poster at the AI Compute Symposium, organized by the IBM T.J. Watson Lab in Yorktown Heights, New York. Their poster topic is neuromorphic computing with phase-change memories. You can find more information about the symposium here.
