Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Region 1 Student Competition

On Thursday, November 8, 2018, two teams from Drexel University’s Construction Management Program will be departing for Albany, NY to participate in the 29th Annual ASC Region 1 Student Competition and Job Fair. Student teams will be competing in both the heavy civil and the commercial competitions sponsored by The Walsh Group and Dimeo Construction, respectively. Each team will have one day to prepare a solution to a construction related problem statement, which is followed by a presentation of their solution the following day. The program wishes the best for both teams as they compete!

Commercial Competition Team

Kevin WilkisonKevin Wilkison

Kevin is a Junior in Construction Management and currently works as an Estimator at Daniel J. Keating Company in Narberth, PA. His goal is to work as a Project Manager for a General Contractor/Construction Manager in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

 

Mark RounbehlerMark Rounbehler

Mark is a Senior in Construction Management and has done co-ops with JPC Group, LF Driscoll, and Turner Construction. After graduation he plans to work with Turner Construction as a Field Engineer

 

Andrew ColemanAndrew Coleman

Andrew is a Senior in Construction Management. He has done co-ops as an Assistant Estimator with McDonald Building Company, and Engineering Analyst with Capital Project Management Inc., and a Project Co-op with L.F. Driscoll. After graduation he hopes to work as an Estimator in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

 

Ben StrauchBen Strauch

Ben is a Senior in Construction Management who has done co-ops as an Assistant Project Manager with Target Building Construction, and a Field Engineer with Whiting Turner. On graduating from Drexel he intends to work as an assistant project manager in the commercial construction industry.

 

Juan PintoJuan Pinto

Juan is a Senior in Construction Management. He is currently a Project Engineer at IMC Construction working on a 10-story building. After graduating from Drexel, he intends to continue working for IMC, working his way up to upper management.

 

Katie TiarksKatie Tiarks

Katie is a Pre-Junior in Construction Management who works as an Estimator/Project Engineer at Wohlsen Construction in Parsippany, NJ. She would like to work as a superintendent after graduation.

Zachary ArnoldZachary Arnold

Zachary is a Senior with a dual major in Civil and Architectural Engineering. He has completed his co-ops with Allan Myers and Benchmark Construction.  Upon graduation he will be working with Allan Myers as a Project Engineer with a focus in Estimating.

 

Kyle ContinoKyle Contino

Kyle is a Senior in Construction Management.  He is currently working for GEM Mechanical Services as an Assistant Project Manager.  His goal upon graduation is to work as a Project Manager on larger more advanced projects.

 

Chris JagerChris Jager

Chris is a Junior in Construction Management.  He completed his co-op with LF Driscoll as an Assistant Project Manager responsible for the enclosure package on the Penn First project.  Upon graduation he plans to work in the smart technologies and affordable housing areas.

 

Eric KasperowiczEric Kasperowicz

Eric is a Pre-Junior in Construction Management.  He completed his co-op with Allan Myers as a field engineer on a few different projects.  Upon graduation he plans to work in the field as a project superintendent.

 

Josh LoserJosh Loser

Josh is a Senior in Construction Management.  He completed all of his co-ops with Allan Myers and has worked in the field, on the cost side of the business and in 3D modeling.  Upon graduation he will be working for Allan Myers developing 3D models of projects to be used for construction.

 

 

Pat PortilloPat Portillo

Pat is a Junior in Construction Management.  He transferred to our program from Delaware Technical College and will be completing his first co-op this year.  His plans involve working as a Project Manager for a general contractor in the commercial building industry.
