ECE Labs Named For Dr. Edwin Gerber

The Electrical and Computer Engineering classroom labs on the second floor of the Bossone Research Enterprise Center have been named after Dr. Edwin Gerber. Dr. Gerber, who recently retired after more than 50 years of service to the ECE Department, was recognized for his considerable contribution to the undergraduate curriculum during his lengthy tenure.

The labs were dedicated in a ceremony on April 11, 2018. In attendance were Dr. Gerber and Judy Gerber, his wife, along with several of Dr. Gerber's colleagues over the years, including Dr. Suryadevara Basavaiah, Dr. Paul Kalata, Dr. Peter Herczfeld, Dr. Bruce Eisenstein, and our current Interim Department Head, Dr. Steven Weber. All of the aforementioned professors shared fond memories of their experiences with Dr. Gerber.

The ECE Department extends its more sincere congratulations to Dr. Gerber and thank him for his noted impact on the student experience here in ECE.
