Congratulations to CBE junior, Nicholas Trainor, on receiving an Honorable Mention for the 2018 Goldwater Scholarship. As noted by the Barry Goldwater Scholarship & Excellence in Education Foundation, the scholarship program “seeks to identify and support college sophomore and juniors who show exceptional promise of becoming this Nation’s next generation of research leaders”. Nicholas is currently working toward a BS in CHE and MS in MSE. After graduation, Nicholas plans to pursue a PhD in materials science.
