Yawei Li
Yawei Li, CBE PhD student, was accepted into the 2018 DAAD RISE Pro internship under advice from Prof. Marcus Bär in studying spectroscopic analysis of the kinetics of multi-step electrochemical reactions. Yawei’s research concerns developing guiding principles and strategies for the design of state-of-the-art electrocatalysts for renewable energy conversion and storage. His internship will take place at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin for Materials and Energy.

Adrian Mendonsa
For his second co-op, CBE prejunior, Adrian Mendonsa will participate in the DAAD RISE Germany internship program at Technische Universität Braunschweig. In his own words, he will “work with a team to develop new methods to optimize industrial batch processes to save energy and resources with the hopes of applying this knowledge to a continuous production process”.
