AIChE's detailed explanation of this presentation session:

Rapid Fire Session: TED-Sep Separations Division

Pitch your achievements in separations science and engineering at this oral poster session. Presenters' 5-minute presentations will be recorded and uploaded to a YouTube channel devoted to spreading the knowledge from AIChE Separations Division's upcoming innovators. Modeled on the TED talk and Shark Tank® concepts, we are soliciting presenters who have confidence in both their ideas and their ability to inspire an educated, but non-expert, audience to want to learn more (and maybe invest). The organizers will choose 10-20 presenters (from among all the divisions' areas) who will sequentially take the stage and "pitch" their work to the live meeting audience and agree to allow it to be uploaded and viewed by a global audience on YouTube. Nominal prizes (investments from the division) will be given to the top 3 presenters as judged by a panel of Separations Division representatives. Individuals with interesting ideas and superior communications skills are encouraged to submit. Content presented in this session may also be presented in other oral or poster sessions.
