Dr. Wrenn has been awarded a 3 year research grant, starting July 1, 2016, from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his project titled "Collaborative Research: Acoustic micro-streaming in the aqueous core of bubble-containing liposomes for controlled release via shear-induced bilayer reorganization". Collaborating with Dr. Wrenn is Kausik Sarkar, Ph.D., of George Washington University, School of Engineering and Applied Science; he was awarded a separate grant for his role in the project.
