Timothy KurzwegTimothy Kurzweg, Ph.D. has been appointed as a Provost's Fellow. He was one of 22 applicants for 7 spots in the 2016 cohort. The Provost's Fellows Program was established by the Office of the Provost with the goal of providing exceptional faculty with a more leadership experiences at the University level. The program allows the Provost's Fellows to receive a more extensive view of the institution while engaging in projects that can enhance the university's strategic academic vision. Additionally, the Provost's Fellows lend their expertise to help inform the Office of the Provost on a wide variety of discipline-specific areas.

A Provost's Fellow is a faculty member who partners with senior administration to spearhead projects in faculty affairs, research administration, graduate education, and undergraduate education. As part of the program, Fellows will become familiar with university-wide academic initiatives, strategic planning, budget issues, and challenges in higher education. Each Provost's Fellow will develop a professional development plan that will be periodically reviewed within the Office of the Provost.
