Drexel University’s College of Engineering is proud to announce the 2016 Engineering Leader of the Year, Philip L. Rinaldi, founding partner, Chairman and CEO of Philadelphia Energy Solutions (PES).
Mr. Rinaldi is the College of Engineering’s 13th Engineering Leader of the Year. This award is presented annually to an individual who demonstrates outstanding commitment and vision within the engineering profession.
Mr. Rinaldi has been the leader in the establishment of Philadelphia as an east coast energy hub as president and CEO of Philadelphia Energy Solutions, and as chair of the CEO Council for Growth’s Energy Action Team. He has spearheaded a number of processes that are leading to economic development and national prominence in sectors of energy and advanced manufacturing. In addition, he is a leader in engineering education as the Chair of the Board of Overseers for the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering in 1968 and 1976, respectively.
Mr. Rinaldi has demonstrated vision, commitment and dedication to the rebirth of the Commonwealth as an economic engine for the United States. He has done so through the lens of an engineer. Please join the College of Engineering in the recognition of his efforts.
