Alumnus Siamak Nejati Accepts Faculty Position at University of Nebraska-Lincoln

NejatiOur alum, Siamak Nejati (Ph.D. '13, Advisor: Prof. Kenneth Lau), has accepted a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Siamak is currently a postdoctoral research associate at Yale University, working with Profs. Menachem Elimelech and Chinedum Osuji. His work at Yale has been focused on the development of an osmotic heat engine. At Drexel University with Prof. Lau, he worked on the development of initiated and oxidative chemical vapor deposition processes and developed these methods for polymeric materials integration within high aspect ratio nanostructures for energy applications. Siamak will start his new position at UNL in August 2016 and his research will focus on developing membrane-based separation processes for gas enrichment and water purification.
