Glenn Guglietta won an award for "Outstanding Contribution in Session E: Earth-Abundant Inorganic Solar Energy Conversion" at the Materials Research Society's 2014 Spring Meeting in San Francisco. Glenn is a PhD student in Prof. Baxter's group. Glenn's talk was titled "Understanding Carrier Dynamics in Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 Using Time-Resolved Terahertz Spectroscopy." This project was performed in collaboration with DuPont Central Research and Development. It describes a new method to measure and understand the photoexcitation and recombination of electrons and holes on nanosecond time scales in thin film photovoltaic materials. The work was recently published in Applied Physics Letters.
