CBE undergraduaets Jose Jurado and Marcela Rosales were selected as recipients of the college student papers contest and will be awarded from the Delaware Valley Engineers Week Council. The paper, written for Professor Gerry Maffia's Mass Transfer class, is titled "Study of Immobilizing Cells Within a Porous Cylinder of Protein Matrix".
"National Engineers Week was established in 1951 to help increase public understanding of the engineering profession. In the Delaware Valley, Engineers Week programs have been held since 1953. The programs are sponsored by a collation of engineering societies, government agencies, universities and major corporations representing thousands of engineers."
