The ECE department would like to welcome two new faculty to the department starting this fall, Dr. Matthew Stamm and Dr. Ioannis Savidis.
Dr. Matthew Stamm received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2012 and was a postdoctoral researcher in Professor K.J. Ray Liu’s Signals and Information Group there. He led the Information Forensics and Security subgroup. During 2004-2006 he worked at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU APL). Dr. Stamm’s research areas are cybersecurity and information forensics.
Dr. Ioannis Savidis received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester in 2013. Dr. Savidis’s advisor was Professor Eby G. Friedman, and his dissertation was Characterization and Modeling of TSV Based 3-D Integrated Circuits. He also completed internships at Freescale Semiconductor Corporation (Austin, TX; 2006, 2007) and at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY; 2008, 2009, 2010). His research area is integrated circuit technologies.
We welcome Drs. Stamm and Savidis to our faculty, and wish them productive and gratifying careers at Drexel, as well as many useful and effective collaborative projects with fellow faculty members.
