Pramod Abichandani, assistant teaching professor of the
Electrical and Computer Engineering department, has been selected as one of 73 national educators to take part in the
National Academy of Engineering’s (NAE) fifth Frontiers of Engineering Education (FOEE) symposium on October 27 through October 30, 2013 in Irvine, California. Participants were chosen for the two and a half day event based on their innovative educational approaches. The symposium will allow faculty members from across the country to come together and trade off their ideas, teaching tactics and research.
“The frontiers of Engineering Education program gives top university faculty a special opportunity to engage together and critique new, innovative teaching techniques,” said NAE President Dan Mote. “Collaborations among these education experts are vital to developing new teaching practices for all engineering faculty who will prepare engineering students for the problems of our time.”
