Assistant professor Mark Hempstead gave one of the keynote speeches at the 31st IEEE International Conference on Computer Design on October 8 in Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Hempstead was among the distinguished company of several IEEE fellows, a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and several ACM Fellows. His talk, Combating Dark Silicon: It Takes a Village, was well received by the conference.
