Francis Richey, a PhD student advised by Prof. Elabd in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has been awarded the Electrochemical Society (ECS) Student Travel Award (Battery Division) to attend and present his research at the fall 2013 ECS conference in San Francisco, CA. His work, titled "Time-Resolved Ion Dynamics in Carbon Supercapacitor Electrodes Using In Situ Infrared Spectroscopy" will be presented in the electrochemical capacitor symposium at the ECS conference.
